About Storwell

The very first Storwell location opened in 1987 on Royal Windsor Drive in Mississauga. Founded by Gregory D’Atri-Guiran, Storwell’s goal was to provide high-quality self-storage solutions with exceptional customer service to the surrounding community. Storwell would eventually expand its operations to Toronto and Scarborough. Greg continues to run the company but now he does it with the help of his four sons. The family-run business is committed to upholding the highest standards for its facilities ensuring that each customer is treated with honesty, empathy, and made to feel like one of the family.

moving and storage

Storwell Cares

At Storwell we recognize that the need for self-storage often comes at times of great change or crisis like job loss, home foreclosure, natural disaster, house fire, or divorce. Whatever the circumstances are that bring you to need self-storage, you can be assured that Storwell’s friendly and professional staff of storage experts will guide you through the storage rental process making sure it is as smooth as possible. We also have an on-site manager that can assist with any emergency situation, at any time. Each staff member at our facilities takes the time to get to know you and your specific storage needs to craft a personalized experience and make your time at Storwell the best it can possibly be.

Ease of access

Storwell facilities have wide lanes that are specifically constructed to fit any size car or truck that you want to use for your move. We have drive up units that are all on the ground level so that you can park your vehicle right next to your unit for easy loading and unloading without having to deal with any stairs or elevators.

COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a tremendous impact on everyone’s lives, and although there are signs of improvement, we all must remain vigilant to ensure that the positive trend continues. In accordance with Toronto City Bylaw 541, all persons entering or remaining inside a Storwell office must wear a mask or face covering which covers the nose. We also advise anyone visiting any of our facilities to follow social distancing protocol and maintain at least 2 meters away from other visitors and staff.

To further limit physical contact and possible spread, Storwell encourages our clients to inquire about rentals online. You can get storage quotes over email or with a phone call with one of our representatives. Storwell will continue to monitor the evolving situation with COVID-19 and adapt our policies as new information and guidelines are released. The health and wellbeing of our customers, staff, and community is our number one priority.

Convenient location

The location of each of Storwell’s facilities was chosen very carefully with accessibility in mind. Each location is situated at the center of a major neighbourhood in the GTA with immediate access to major highways. At Storwell, we believe that you should be able to access your things whenever you want, not whenever we are open, which is why our customers have 24/7 passcode gate access to their units.

Rent Online

To make the renting process as easy as possible, Storwell allows customers to rent their unit online. You can consult our sizing guide to determine what size unit is best for your storage needs. Based on unit availability, you will be given a free quote and if you ever have any questions or concerns, you can always call one of our facilities and talk to one of our expert storage representatives.

Events

Storwell’s goal is to build a stronger more inclusive community and that starts at home. Storwell hosts regular barbeque events during the summer months to promote community togetherness. Storwell is also a member of the #42 Division Community Police Picnic Committee. The committee puts on an annual police event to create a stronger community connection between the public and the police.

Sponsorships

Sports are a great way for young people to learn about hard work, dedication, teamwork, and responsibility. At Storwell, we believe that supporting youth activities is a great way to ensure the continued growth and improvement of the community. Storwell is a proud sponsor of several youth sports programs that provide kids with a safe space to learn, grow, and most importantly, have fun.

Storwell is also a supporter of The Navy League of Canada who works towards producing valued members of society through youth movements and increasing awareness of the need to protect Canada’s ocean resources through a strong maritime presence.

Storwell is honoured to have been a sponsor of the Mimico Baptist Church Refugee Response Program. In response to the Syrian crisis, the Mimico Baptist Church ventured to welcome as many Syrian refugees into the community as they could and to help them settle into a new life in Canada. The Church has raised over $30,000 in support of this cause. Storwell’s first ever facility was built just minutes away from the church and the Mimico neighbourhood has always felt like our home base, so when the opportunity arose to help our neighbours, Storwell leapt at the chance.

Storwell has been the proud sponsor of:

  • The North Scarborough Soccer Club
  • The Scarborough Sharks Girls Hockey Team
  • The Bloordale Baseball League
  • The Markham Royals hockey team of the OJHL
