Services at Storwell Scarborough
Self Storage
Proper packing is important because during a trip to a new house or to a storage unit, boxes can get jostled around and belongings can get broken. In order to avoid damages or lost items, make sure that all your items are packed properly. It’s also useful to keep a detailed inventory of everything you own prior to the move. When you start packing for a big move, you often realize you have much more stuff than you initially thought. It’s good to go over everything you own prior to a move and get rid of any unnecessary items.
When searching for packing supplies, you can check in with your local liquor store, bar, or grocery store. These places get their inventory shipped in thick-walled cardboard boxes, which are perfect to use while moving. While these stores will often give you boxes for free they usually only give out a few at a time, so expect to make several trips if you need a large number of boxes. Another option is driving around to big box stores and looking for boxes that have been already broken down and stuffed into their recycling bins. While it is perfectly okay to store items in cardboard boxes inside of your self-storage unit, it is advised to use clear plastic containers, which can offer greater protection and make organization easier.
Moving Trucks
Moving your items into your storage space can be challenging, and Storwell Self Storage wants to help you however we can. That is why we offer van rentals to all our clients at our storage facilities. Renting a moving van from Storwell adds extra convenience to the moving process—after loading up your unit, you can leave the rental van at the facility instead of having to return it to a third-party rental company. If you need a moving van in the future to remove bulky items or furniture from your unit, you will always have the option to rent a van from us at incredibly competitive rates.
Residential Storage
If you are looking to declutter your home and free up some space, renting a self-storage unit is a great way to do it. Self-storage is also especially useful during home staging when you need a safe and secure place to store your excess furniture and personal items. When you are moving into a new home, it can be daunting to move all your items into your new place all at once. Storing some items in a storage unit beforehand can remove some pressure on move-in day. Many people decide to keep their storage unit even after the move because they like the extra storage space, and with Storwell’s flexible lease agreement, you can keep your unit for as long as you want.
Business Storage
Local businesses that are just starting out do not want to get tied down by a long-term lease and the exorbitant prices that come with purchasing a warehouse. A much better option is to look for storage at a place like Storwell that offers a flexible lease agreement and much more affordable rates. Storwell has several 20 ft x 40 ft industrial-sized units, which can comfortably hold up to 22 skids. We can help you while you establish your growing business. With a flexible lease agreement, you can take the time to gauge the market and increase your business size as you see fit.
Services
Moving Services
When you are moving homes, there are a couple of different routes you can take. You can choose the do-it-yourself method, which involves moving all your items to your new home by yourself or with a few friends. If you decide that you have too much stuff to move yourself, then you might look to hire a large moving truck or even a full moving service. Our representatives can offer you recommendations for moving companies in the area that will best fit your unique needs.
RV, Trailer, Parking Storage
RV’s can be a challenge to store. Many RVs are too wide to fit in your average driveway, and even if they do fit, they might cause issues with your neighbours. Storwell provides a safe secure storage option for your RV during the winter months. Storwell has large parking spots made to accommodate wide body trucks and RVs. With our open-ended lease agreement, you can end your rental period whenever you like, so you can take your RV out and start your vacation at anytime.
Boat Storage
Outdoor parking spots can also be used to store boats and jet skis. Depending on the size of the boat you can also rent a larger storage unit to store your boat. Our storage facilities have power ventilated units, which controls humidity levels protecting your boat from moisture and rust development.
Motorcycle Storage
Storwell has indoor and outdoor parking options for your motorcycle. If you just need a warm place to keep your motorcycle over the harsh winter months, our 3 ft x 8 ft units can fit most motorcycle sizes. If you have a larger sized cruiser or just want to have more space to be able to store your tools, equipment, and extra parts, you can go up in size and you will have yourself a very respectable motorcycle garage.
Car and Truck Storage
Storwell has outdoor and indoor parking storage for both cars and trucks. Our outdoor parking spots are wide enough to accommodate any size truck, and our units are all on the ground floor so that you can drive your vehicle right up to your unit. If you want to keep your vehicle indoors, our 10 ft x 40 ft units can fit a small sedan and our 20 ft x 40 ft units can fit a larger sedan or small van. Our units are all individually alarmed and monitored by our video surveillance system as well as our on-site manager ensuring that whatever you store in your unit is safe.
Zero Contact Rental
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a tremendous impact on everyone’s lives, and although there are signs of improvement, we all must remain vigilant to ensure that the positive trend continues. In accordance with Toronto City Bylaw 541, all persons entering or remaining inside a Storwell office must wear a mask or face covering which covers the nose. You can get a quote for your storage needs over email or with a phone call to one of our representatives. Storwell will continue to monitor the evolving situation with COVID-19 and adapt our policies as new information and guidelines are released. The health and wellbeing of our customers, staff, and community is our number one priority.
